Paths to Accreditation in Latin America
Paul Branch (Professor at Seminario Teológico Centroamericano in Guatemala) discusses the findings of his dissertation, “Viable Paths for the Accreditation of Distance Theological Education Programs in Latin America.” His study focuses primarily on online programs, but is applicable to other modes of distance education as well. The research questions seek to identify the internal and external factors (from the perspective of seminaries and distance education programs) that would be most helpful in achieving the private accreditation and government recognition of online theological education programs in Latin America.
