Mark Noll is the Francis A. McAnaney Professor of History at the University of Notre Dame. In 2006, he was awarded the National Endowment for the Humanities medal at a White House ceremony. He is the author of numerous books, including God and Race in American Politics: A Short History (Princeton University Press, 2008), The New Shape of World Christianity (InterVarsity Press, 2009), and Protestantism–A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press, 2011).
